Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together. If you don’t see your question listed or are ready to schedule a free consult, contact me.
-
My fee is $250 per session.
I keep my caseload small so I can provide you with the highest quality of therapy. You will have an exclusive timeslot that you can count on and fit into your busy schedule as your own self-care time.

I am an out of network provider meaning that you pay me at the time of your session and then have the option of requesting reimbursement from your out of network insurance benefits. To make this easy for you, I can provide you with a monthly statement that has all the information the insurance company needs. All you have to do is send it to them!
And the good news is that many insurance companies have great out network benefits! To see what your benefits are, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask them what your out of network benefits are for mental health therapy. You may find that your sessions with me are fully or partially reimbursable! Then, schedule a free consult with me. I can’t wait to meet you!

I am located on one of my favorite streets in Saint Paul. There’s a Whole Foods, several gift shops, antique shops, coffee shops, cafe’s, and bakeries right down the street. Fun fact, the same property manager owns all the buildings on my block and I must say, they do a great job of restoring historic buildings! Whether you are a long-time Saint Paul resident and have seen the changes to this area throughout the years or are coming from Minneapolis or a Suburb, this is a nice location to come to for in-person therapy.
My address is 1599 Selby Avenue, Suite 106 Saint Paul, MN 55104, which is right off of the Snelling exit of I-94. . Click this link to view it on Google Maps.

Online sessions are a great option for busy parents and professionals! You can meet in your office or even your car! Wherever you have internet and privacy.
I use a HIPAA-secure platform called SimplePractice, which is designed for therapists. Prior to your scheduled appointment, a private link will be sent to your e-mail. At the scheduled time, simply click the link to enter our virtual therapy room.
No matter where you live in Minnesota or Wisconsin, therapy is available to you online. Online therapy gives you access to the support you need, when you need it. Some people prefer the flexibility of online sessions, especially when dealing with child care needs, varying work schedules, or transportation difficulties. Others simply feel more comfortable discussing issues from the familiarity of their home. Whatever the reason, online therapy is still an effective alternative to in-person therapy.

Yes! I offer my clients the choice of either in-person or online sessions. My office is located in a historic building in a convenient and lovely area of St. Paul with shops and dining/coffee options. There is free street parking and easy access to the freeway and the Marshall Avenue Bridge.

It’s natural to feel a bit nervous before your first appointment with a new therapist. You will likely feel more relaxed once you meet me as I seem to have a way of making people feel safe and comfortable.
Prior to our first appointment, I will send you a link to the secure client portal where you can fill out the paperwork at your convenience.
Then, at the first appointment, we can spend a few minutes addressing any questions you may have and then delve into what brought you to therapy and how I can help. I will also ask you some background questions to better understand all the things past and present that could be contributing to the way you feel. I would say that my clients generally leave the first session feeling relieved to have opened up about their issue and a new perspective to reflect on.
